We have spoken to each of the 5 network call centres this morning asking about iPhone 5 launch - again all we got was the standard answers however each advisor confirmed that they did have unlimited overtime available from 5pm tonight (UK time) without any real alternative answer to explain why. Looks like the announcement today by Apple is at least costing the networks money for answering phones.

So its been confirmed that Apple will announce officially what we all know anyway October 4th - why do apple have to have such an approach is beyond me, most people would buy an apple phone without all the hype and rumour so I dont get it

I still think most people if not all will have to pay upfront for the phone, look at the iphone 4 now on o2 its still almost 200 quid over 2 years for 40 a month.
